Is blog a diary

When I told some of my friends that I have a blog, they smiled evilly as if I was writing private diary on the internet. I know blog means web diary in many people’s mind. Some do not think it is necessary to write a diary on the web, and some fairly write their diary in their web blog. They record what they did today and share their happiness and pain with some friends. Their blogging aim is to express emotion and make friends.

Nowadays, more and more bloggers start their blogs with own domains and web hostings. They don’t take blog as diary. They select a topic or some topics, and write unique content on the topics. Their specific aim is to get readers, increase pages rating in search engines and form community atmosphere. But their final aims are not the same. Some want to make money online, some want to be a person on the network, some want to share experiences and teach people what to do and how to do, some want to promote their services and business. They all work two hours or more on their blog to write and promote their blogs every day.

I acknowledge that I am one of those who want to achieve something from blog. I want to make money online and establish my brand on the web. I think if you become famous you can do many things you want easily with your audiences support. Money, services and business come after that. To make a brand via blogging you should get visitor traffic, then readers and loyal audience. Blogging skills, seo and marketing are necessary and important. Then you learn blogging tips and listen to advices from big bloggers. Learning is a prerequisite progress.

More and more people will open their blogs on the internet, more and more bloggers will have their end aim with blogging, more and more bloggers will still write diaries on their blogs. Blog will become more and more important in people’s life and web development. Let’s Wait and see what blog will be in future.

Really nice post. I had just the same thoughts. In fact, I run 2 blogs, one for personal family meanderings, and one for internet business. IN fact, I use the personal blog to communicate the “what’s up” kind of news to our friends and family so I don’t have to do it individually over and over. And I try and get everyone of them to either check it often or use an RSS feed (really easy with a my.yahoo.com page).
The business blog is more evident, and like you I want to make money AND establish a positive rep. That’s where Blogrush has helped. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your comments here :)
Runging 2 blogs is a very good idea. One is for personal stuff, and the other is for business or some other topics. We have specific aims and want to achieve something from the business blog. When we are tired, we can come to the personal blog to write a diray or something to friends. I’d like to try it.
